Sara and Matthieu chose to have a romantic backyard wedding ceremony on one of the hottest summer days. Their special day was not ruined regardless of the weather conditions, in fact, they made their big day unique and so much fun to capture!
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they had an intimate wedding with their closest family members. However, this did not stop them from sharing their stunning day with the rest of their friends and family. Sara and Matthieu decided to have a wedding Livestream where all of them could watch the couple say ”I do.”
The couple had a beautiful floral arch made by Blossom Bar under which they exchanged their vows. To make things even more unique and entertaining, their wedding officiant was Matthieu’s father. Their faces could not hold their genuine happiness!
This backyard wedding was filled with love and warmth, which made it a lot easier to capture these special moments. The couple was so relaxed and outgoing that we captured some phenomenal portraits almost effortlessly. Spending this day with them was spectacular from start to finish.
We fell in love with their energetic approach and incredible sense of style. The bride’s white dress created the perfect contrast with all the greenery, and her colorful flowers added some vibrancy to the overall display. Everybody was absolutely thrilled to see how beautifully organized a small wedding can be.
After they tied the knot, we went to the Rockcliffe Park near downtown Ottawa for some astounding shots during the golden hour. The Rockcliffe Park is located on the banks of the Ottawa River, which made the ideal background for our photoshoot.
Sara and Matthieu showed us that you do not necessarily need a big venue to express eternal love for one another. Their backyard wedding restricted by the pandemic was the epitome of devotion. Apart from creating some wonderful portraits, there was so much to learn from this couple.
