When there is a cozy cottage, paddling, canoeing, a woodsy ceremony, and a charming tented reception – you know that the wedding is going to be unique and beyond incredible. Even when we chatted with Garen and Nathalia about their iconic plans, we were absolutely hooked and so excited to capture their Ottawa cottage wedding!
This couple was an absolute joy to work with. Their nature-loving personalities and sense to translate their passions into their own day were phenomenal to witness and capture. Not to mention how they surprised everyone by letting their story unfold creatively.
Garen and Nathalia’s Ottawa intimate wedding started at their parent’s cottage, nestled on the lake. They are originally from Vancouver but chose this Ottawa spot to encompass their most important memories. After a fun getting ready session, we all paddled together to a small island where they had their first look. As their elopement photographers, we completely enjoyed taking every single photo of their precious intimate moments. The little rain didn’t dampen their spirits at all, in fact, they were even more inspired to enjoy their session! After a while, we went back for their Ottawa cottage wedding ceremony.
Their small yet incredibly joyful ceremony was hosted in the woods, on the very lakefront. Dreamy doesn’t begin to convey the ambiance! Warm and filled with all the feels, they unified their love in front of their favorite people. Following, they canoed their way across part of the lake, arriving at their Ottawa intimate wedding reception. Set in a lovely tent, they all enjoyed amazing food, sharing their love for this epic couple and slow dancing into the woods. Of course, as their elopement photographers, we were totally absorbed by this warm and happy atmosphere!
